          Battle is a historic town in the heart of east Sussex. It boasts the site of the infamous battle of Hastings and is home to the stunning battle Abbey. Battle has many boutique shops, and good variety of pubs and restaurants. It is also only 20 minutes from Hermonceux castle and the observatory there which makes a fantastic family day out.

         Battle in only a 20-minute drive from the seaside towns of Hastings and Bexhill and there are miles of country walks to enjoy.

         Only an hour and a half on the train from London, it provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing weekend away from the city.

         Abbey View cottages offer a choice of 2- and 3-bedroom properties. They are well equipped family and dog friendly cottages in a secluded spot in the valley in battle, yet still only a short walk from Battle High Street.

Alternatively, if you prefer driving, you can take the A21 road south from London, which provides a picturesque route through the countryside, with ample opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery. You can also reach Battle by local bus services from nearby towns such as Hastings or Bexhill, which offer convenient options for travelers.
